Our apartments are located in Staines, an historic town just 20 miles south west of Central London in leafy north
Surrey. The town lies on the Rivers Thames and Colne and Prelude Properties' apartments are ideally situated in a
quiet tree-lined residential avenue close to all local amenities.
Staines has been a centre for trade since Roman times, when it was the main crossing point over the Thames
on the London to Silchester road, being approximately a day's march from each. There is still a twice weekly market
and the town has two shopping centres less than 10 mins walk away offering a wide range of shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs.
Transport links could hardly be better. The British Rail station is just a two minute walk away - journey times:
London Waterloo 35 mins, Windsor 12 mins, Reading 45 mins, Weybridge 32 mins. Staines is also an excellent base for
trips by road, with Central London only 19 miles away. The junction of London's orbital motorway (M25) and the main
road to the South and South West (M3) is only a 5 minute drive. London's airports at Heathrow and Gatwick are 10
mins and 40 mins respectively.
Historical places of interest are also close by - Windsor, Runnymede and Hampton Court to name but three. Local
family attractions include Thorpe Park and Legoland. Sporting and leisure facilities include three local sports
centres and a wide variety of leisure activities on and around the fabulous River Thames.
